Tour of the Gush Katif Museum
The Gush Katif Museum, which opened last year in Jerusalem, chronicles both the history of the 21 evacuated settlements of Gush Katif and their destruction. The museum was initiated by S.O.S. Israel, an organization founded by Chabad Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpe to fight for Greater Israel. In honor of Tisha Be'Av the anniversary of Israel's disengagement from Gush Katif presents tour of the museum, in photographs.

The Chayolei News Report
Camp Chayolei Hamelech, has now begun the second trip, with an additional eighty campers. Nestled in the scenic Pocono mountains the camp offers the children a truly enjoyable Chassidishe experience, in the spirit of Moshiach, ranging from canoeing on the Delaware river, sports, swimming, ATVs, concerts, Farbrengens. Nachal Chareidi Soldiers Operating in Gaza
Nachal Chareidi (Netzach Yisrael), a completely Shomer Mitzvos unit, which counts many chabad chassidim in its ranks, today find themselves in the hottest sector, Gaza. Having proven their abilities over the years operating in the Jordan Valley sector and more recently along the northern border in the Har Dov area. According to the brigade commander, Colonel Moti Baruch, while the Gaza area appears quiet today, this is a misconception. He points out that a week does not pass without shooting incidents or combat across the border fence.

Police Preparing for Tisha BAv
Jerusalem police are preparing for Tisha BAv, increasing security in the capital, with a special emphasis on the Old City and Kosel area. Tens upon tens of thousands of mispalalim are expected to visit the Kosel during the fast day, with the largest crowd making its way mincha time. Kosel Rav, Chabad Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz reports there were be 50 extra people on hand to assist in handling the crowd and maintaining tznius in the Holy Site.

Case Closed Against Fugitive Agri Manager
Hosam Amara
Federal agents investigating alleged crimes at Agriprocessors Inc. gave up their investigationon on former manager who fled the country, according to court papers filed Tuesday. The fugitive, Hosam Amara, remains at large and is believed to be hiding in Israel. The former poultry manager at Postville's kosher slaughterhouse was one of several managers indicted for immigration and fraud charges last year, six months after an immigration raid.

Week #2 @ CGI Winter Sydney
After a success and enjoyable first week of camp, campers eagerly returned for a second week together with new friends from close and far to spend the full 2 weeks of their winter holidays in the Rebbes camp. Clement weather, new equipment, and an ever-more exciting schedule, were all contributors, making this year's the most successful camp program to date. The camp, run by the Tzemach Tzedek Community Centre, Sydney, is geared to provide boys ages 7-12 a better way to spend their mid-winter break  Report & Photos

Rabbis stress importance of obeying the law
In the wake of last weeks arrests of several prominent rabbis, some Orthodox leaders are working to ensure that their institutions are following the letter of the law. At a Chabad-Lubavitch regional conference over the weekend in northern Virginia, several rabbis stressed the importance of obeying the law, according to Rabbi Levi Shemtov, director of the Washington office of American Friends of Lubavitch.

Chabad Seeks Default Judgment Against Russia

Chabad asked a federal judge for a default judgment against Russia today, following the countrys exit from a long-running lawsuit over a priceless religious library. Lawyers for Chabad-Lubavitch, filed a motion today at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia accusing Russia of flaunting U.S. law by ducking out of the suit. On June 26, Russia filed a notice informing the court that it would no longer participate in the litigation, which it called incompatible with its rights as a sovereign nation.

Knesset Addresses Temple Mount
As was reported previously by Members of Knesset met to talk about the Temple, its role in Jewish life, and for the first time ever to talk about Israel's approach to the Temple Mount today. The conference was organized by MK Michael Ben-Ari. Luabvitcher Bochur Assualted, Robbed
A chabad yeshiva student was attacked and robbed by a pair of Arabs in Jerusalem. The yeshiva Bochur came to participate in a Tanya printing ceremony at the old train station in Yerushalaim. As he was leaving the event, the bochur stepped out to the sidewalk to don his Rabbeinu Tam Tefillin. As he recited the prayers, two Arab youths violently attacked him.

Yeshivas Lubavitch Summer Program
For the first time ever Yeshivas Lubavitch of Manchester relocated to a small vacation town in the north England which has a Jewish community, The bochurim spent their time immersed in Niglah and Chassidus in a relaxed atmosphere, Shiurim were given by members of the hanholo Rabbi Moshe Wolberg, Rabbi Korf, Rabbi Klyne and Rabbi Eidelman a special emphasis was put on learning Sugyos in Gemoro with their practical Halachic application, The bochurim also took advantage of the time to farbreng and engage the hanholo members on a wide range of topics.

American's Plotting Attacks in Israel Caught
U.S authorities on Monday arrested seven people from North Carolina who have been charged with plotting to carry out terrorist attacks overseas, including in Kosovo, Jordan and the Gaza Strip. US prosecutors said the ringleader of the group, Daniel Patrick Boyd, trained in Afghanistan and Pakistan from 1989 to 1992 and used that experience to set up his own organization to train fighters, raise money and carry out attacks abroad.

Pifzer in Lawsuit Over False OU
Manhattan dietary-supplement company duped drugmaker Pfizer into buying an antioxidant ingredient that it falsely claimed to be kosher, a lawsuit charges. Marco Hi-Tech allegedly used a forged "letter of certification" from the Orthodox Union, the leading US kosher-approval outfit. The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court, says the group's letterhead was used to make it seem Marco's grape-seed extract had received the famed "OU" stamp of approval.

Knesset Focuses on the Temple Mount
As Tisha B'Av, the annual day of mourning over the destruction of the Temple, approaches, Members of Knesset met to talk about the Temple, its role in Jewish life, and Israel's approach to the Temple Mount today. The conference was organized by MK Michael Ben-Ari (National Union). A Chabad rabbi was invited to speak as well, and shared a religious view of the matter. Proposal: Emblazon belief in Creator on money
A new bill was proposed Monday by Shas MK Nissim Zeev that stipulates that Israeli paper money will be emblazoned with the sentence: "We believe in the Creator." "Money and bills are the center of our life, and it is befitting that the money issued by the State of Israel will be a reminder of Jewish faith," explained MK Zeev. "Even those who don't uphold the mitzvoth will be reminded in this way of the foundation of the religion of Israel."

Facebook Removes Hamas Page
The networking Web site Facebook removed a page dedicated to Hamas' Gaza leader Ismail Haniya, al-Hayat reported. The Web page titled "Commander Haniyah" had more than 10,000 friends when it was removed without any explanation. The Palestinian Maan news agency said one of the supervisors of Haniya's site said he feared similar action will be taken against the page devoted to Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, which has already attracted more than 17,000 friends.

Six Stolen Torah Scrolls Found
Six Torah scrolls that were stolen from the Or Hachayim synagogue in the northern-Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev were returned to officials of the synagogue this evening, after they were found in the nearby Palestinian Authority Arab village of Hizme. Thieves broke into the synagogue six months ago, stealing the scrolls, along with shofars, ornamental cups and other items. Detectives stationed at the Hizme checkpoint found the scrolls near the checkpoint just before dawn on Monday.

Starting last week Wednesday, camp Chayolei Hamelech was rocked by the most amazing, awesome, two days color war experience. Campers, counsellors, teachers, and other staff members at Camp Chayolei Hamelech participated in a huge 'Moshiach War', which begun according to camp tradition with a memorable 'break out'. For several days the campers and counsellors 'fought out' the advantages of their respective themes with songs plays and skits. New Jewish Publications Issued in Russian
A new publication has just been released in Russian as part of the BET: A Library of Jewish Texts series. The collection The Expression of Language (Maane Lashon) contains prayers and texts to be recited at the resting places of the righteous. These texts were first compiled in the 17th century and the present edition is the one that follows the custom established by the second Rebbe of Lubavitch, Rabbi Dovber. The book contains the original Hebrew prayers, Psalms and related part of the Zohar, as well as a translation into Russian. There is also an explanation of the laws and customs of visiting the cemetery and particularly, the graves of the righteous.

India: Shluchim Lead Search
A 24-year-old Israeli tourist is missing in the Parvati Valley area, near Kosol, India. Last Tuesday, Ami-Chai Shtainmitz and a friend set out on a one-day trek from the village of Khirganga. The two split up at some point, but when Shtainmitz did not return, his friend notified authorities. An Israeli search team is expected to arrive in India on Monday to help in the search, in the meantime, Chabad Shluchim, Rabbi Danny Vinderbaum and Rabbi Yoel Kaplan are leading local search teams.

Steinsaltz In Stable Condition
World renowned scholar, Rabbi Adin Even Yisrael - Steinsaltz was lightly wounded in a car accident last week Wednesday, Rosh Chodesh Av. He was taken to hospital after the driver of the car he was in accidentally crashed into the entrance gate of the city of Tekoa, near Jerusalem, where the Hesder Yeshiva of Rabbi Steinsaltz is located.
